Winter Sangria

Winter Sangria

Yield 1 pitcher

  • 2 750 ml bottles red wine (Merlot)
  • 1 cup brandy
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • seeds from one pomegranate
  • 2 Bartlett pears, thinly sliced
  • ice
  • club soda
  1. Pour sugar and pomegranate seeds in the bottom of the pitcher.

  2. Gently muddle together.

  3. Add brandy and wine.

  4. Incorporate pear slices.

  5. Best if you cover and refrigerate overnight.

  6. Remove before serving and add ice and top with club soda.
