What does the OU-D symbol mean?
That is the certification symbol granted to Food Should Taste Good, Inc. by the Orthodox Union, the largest Kosher certification organization. The Orthodox Union is universally recognized and respected (including by the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval). You can visit the OU website (www.oukosher.org) to learn more about the certification and Kosher dietary laws.
How are your chips Kosher OU-D and Lactose Free?
The “OU-D” symbol means the product is certified Kosher by the Orthodox Union. Kosher law dictates that we use the “D” symbol next to the “OU” because our products are sometimes produced on the same equipment that produces product with dairy ingredients. However, with the exception of Cheddar, our products do not contain any dairy ingredients; additionally, stringent cleaning procedures are used in between all production batches to prevent dairy ingredients from entering our non-dairy products.
*Please note: All our tortilla chips, except our Cheddar chips, are dairy-free and safe for people with dairy allergies. Please feel free to visit our product section for ingredient statements or contact us with any further questions. For more information, we have included an article on this topic from the official OU Kosher website.
Return to top. What kind of ingredients do you use?
All of our ingredients are all-natural, non-GMO (not genetically modified), and purchased from suppliers in the USA and Canada. We always use the highest quality ingredients available so that we can stand by our company name, Food Should Taste Good.
Is your Cheddar chip made with anything artificial?
Like all other Food Should Taste Good varieties our new Cheddar is made with high quality, all natural ingredients, free of artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. Additionally they are certified Kosher, non-GMO and gluten-free, made without trans fats or cholesterol.
What products do you make?
Right now, we have ten flavors of tortilla chips:
Multigrain,
Jalapeño,
Olive,
Chocolate,
Sweet Potato,
The Works!,
Yellow Corn,
Lime,
Blue Corn, and
Cheddar.
We are continually developing and testing a range of new flavors and items. Are there any specific flavors or products you think we should create and sell? We’d love to hear your opinion. Write us here: ithinkyoushouldcreate@foodshouldtastegood.com.
What size packages are your chips available in?
We offer different flavors in package weights from 1 oz to 24 oz.
Are your chips fried?
After we mix our recipe of all-natural ingredients into a batter, we bake our chips in an oven for a long time before lightly cooking them in high oleic sunflower oil. High oleic sunflower oil has a higher percentage of monounsaturated fat than canola and olive oil, and it has no trans fat nor cholesterol. Because of our baking process, we use less oil, making our chips lighter, crispier, and more delicious than many others.
Are you hiring?
