What does the "OU-D" symbol mean ?
That is the certification symbol granted to FoodShouldTasteGood, Inc. by the Orthodox Union, the largest Kosher certification organization. The Orthodox Union is universally recognized and respected (including by the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval). You can visit the OU website (www.oukosher.org) to learn more about the certification and Kosher dietary laws.
How are your chips Kosher OU-D and Lactose Free?
The "OU-D" symbol means the product is certified Kosher by the Orthodox Union. Kosher law dictates that we use the "D" symbol next to the "OU" because our products are sometimes produced on the same equipment that products product with dairy ingredients. However, our products do not contain any dairy ingredients, and stringent cleaning procedures are used in between production lots to prevent dairy ingredients from entering our non-dairy products.
*Please note: All our tortilla chips are dairy-free and safe for people with dairy allergies. Please feel free to visit our product section for ingredient statements or contact us with further questions. For more information, we have included and article on this topic from the official OU Kosher website.
What kind of ingredients do you use?
All of our ingredients are all-natural, non-GMO (not genetically modified), and purchased from suppliers in the USA and Canada. We always use the highest quality ingredients available so that we can stand by our company name, FoodShouldTasteGood.
What products do you make?
Right now, we have eleven flavors of tortilla chips - Multigrain, Jalapeno, Olive, Chocolate, Sweet Potato, Buffalo, The Works!, Potato & Chive, Yellow Corn, Lime and Cinnamon. We are continually developing and testing a range of new flavors and items. Are there any specific flavors or products you think we should create and sell? We'd love to hear your opinion.
What size packages are your chips available in?
We offer different flavors in package weights from 1.5 oz to 24 oz.
Are your chips fried?
After we mix our recipe of all-natural ingredients into a batter, we bake our chips in an oven for a long time before lightly cooking them in high oleic sunflower oil. High oleic sunflower oil has a higher percentage of monounsaturated fat than canola and olive oil, and it has no trans fat nor cholesterol. Because of our baking process, we use less oil, making our chips lighter, crispier, and more delicious than many others.
Are you hiring?
With our continued growth, we are often looking for new employees. We are always looking for interns and regional brand ambassadors to help spread the word about us (free chips and other fun benefits included!). If you are interested in any role, please contact us.
Will you donate chips to our fundraiser?
We enjoy helping out with community events and other good causes. We consider each request that we receive and try to fulfill as many as we can. If you have a donation request, please contact us with specifics related to your organization, the event, expected attendees, timing of event, and product quantities needed (6 oz, 5.5 oz and 1.5 oz bags are available for such donations).
